Learned a new word today while reading this comment (https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/3140#issuecomment-337254025) in a github issue on uBlock Origin.

... With Firefox's WebExtensions, this feels now less rebarbative ...

Welcome to the club. Earlier this summer I came across the word "riparian", in the phrase "riparian residents". Look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls.

As a word "rebarbative" is itself unattractive and I object to it. :)

As for "reparian," it sounds like a word an estate agent would use to avoid telling you that the house he is trying to sell you is built on a flood plain. With extreme weather a reparian resident could easily become an aquatic dweller.

I'm not sure something or someone can be "less" rebarbative. Iff something compels a desire to push away, then rebarbative, else not rebarbative. There's really no room for less. The desire to push away can be stronger or weaker, but the quality of inspiring aversion to the point of needing to push away is not quantitative.
