Dear forum readers,

I have installed and run the LXMED tool to change my menu,

But after installation, my Lubuntu 16.04 menu has been changed and now contains only "run" and "logout" entries, the rest of my menu has TOTALLY DISAPEARED !!

I have had contact with Marko Cicak, the maker of Lxmed (menu editor) :
he checked my system by remote Teamviewer, but did not find an answer !!!
He then suggested to create a new user, so I created the user newby, and this one had the original menu .

How do I proceed to get the same menu on my main user Henk ?

Have a look at the hidden folders in your home, particularly .cache/menus where there may be some alphanumeric named plain text files and see what they contain.

You might also want to look for a hidden lxmed configuration or cache file that might give you some clues.

I am not on my system with Lubuntu at the moment but I do have one with lxmed installed (I think), so I will have a look later to see what I can find that might help you.
