Did anyone order the new book, The Official Ubuntu Book (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0132435942/sr=8-1/qid=1155724361/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-9802245-0912104?ie=UTF8), that is being released today on Amazon.com?

I ordered one since I am now an Ubuntu Affiliate, and I want to support Ubuntu with this book purchase. Looking forward to receiving it in two days...

I heard a while back that the book would be free to download. Anyone know anything about that?

No, I wouldn't get it for three reasons.

1. No credit card, can't buy it. I am poor, at least until I am 18 and have my own credit card.

2. I can pretty much find all the info on the net. Also, I dislike buying a distro specific book, as in the world of linux, distros rise and fall. Who knows who will be the dominant distro next year?

3. I've got Ubuntu installed, why would I need the DVD?

Still, if it can help newbies, i'm all for it! Go, men, go!
