Hi,
I installed Ubuntu 16.04 Server on Alienware R6 with GPU 1080 Ti, then I installed nvidia driver 381 and cuda 8 (default nvidia 375 driver not installed), and ubuntu desktop. However, the system shows "failed to start nvidia persistence daemon" a lot of times and then can only boot into command line mode, without desktop. Could anyone kindly suggest how to debug this issue?
By the way, the system is installed in RAID mode and not AHCI mode. I am not sure whether this could be the cause of the problem.
