Hi, I've run different linux distros on my laptop for the last 2 years but has now decided to also do the switch to linux on my desktop pc. I've run arch linux for a while but after some trouble with a dual monitor setup I decided to switch to Ubuntu again.

Specs:
CPU: Intel i7 4770k
GPU: AMD radeon r9 390
Monitor: 2x(2560xx1440)

After the archinstallation the updatefrequenzy of the monitor worked as it should. After the ubuntu installation the screen is refreshing once every second which makes the UI unusable. For ubuntu to start and render an application like the terminal it takes like 5s. What can I do to make ubuntu usable?

Thanks in advance!

I have attached a link to a video so you can see how bad it looks.
