View Full Version : Live CD: reboot and select proper boot device

Installed Ubuntu 17.04 on a Toshiba Satellite but when I boot, I get the following error "reboot and select proper boot device".

Live CD I am using is from recent Linux User and I am installing in place of windows. Boot from the live CD works fine. If I try to reinstall, its saying the Ubuntu distro is already installed. Any suggestions as to what is causing my error?

What do you see in your BIOS? Does it have HDD as your primary boot device now? (and I hope you have removed CD from drive)

Might as well check if you have actually turned off secure boot as well as whether or not you changed EFI settings before install, if you have then let us know.
