Hi, new guy at Linux here :)

I've recently installed a fresh version of Ubuntu with i3 and SLiM login manager. My issue with it is that after boot and when I start typing my password, it switches to TTY for a second or two, and thus cancelling my login.
Any suggestion on how I might be able to fix it?

Thank you :)

1.Do you have a Nvidia GPU?
2.Is there a " /etc/rc.conf" file and how dose it now read?

Thank you for answering my post, and sorry for the late reply.

Yes I do have a nvidia card, but I've installed the same on my home computer and have no issue there (Also running nvidia)

The rc.conf file does not exist.
