This can't be right, I must be doing something wrong. I'm on a vanilla install of 16.04, Unity.
I bought a second display.
I can't figure out to set the background of the new display to something different from the other one. (not a workspace background, a display background)
I mean this is 2017, surely I don't have to do something odd to get this OS to do what's been common place on windows, macs, and other distros for like 20 years. I *must* be doing something wrong.
The nearest I found is this:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/390367/using-different-wallpapers-on-multiple-monitors-gnome-2-compiz
But that's absurd, there must be something built-in by now, without such hoops and without losing my icons. I mean......................?
thanks,
sq
