I am having a lot of difficulty trying to install Ubuntu. I've been trying both 17.04.2 and 16.4 which have been burned to a DVD (I did try 17.4 written to a USB, a few weeks ago on my first attempt but also had no success). Essentially I can't even get past the bootloader. I've disabled many of the recommended settings on my mobo (fastboot, I've set my graphics to on board, grabbed a VGA monitor and even PHYSICALLY removed my graphics card and still no issues.) I've tried the various boot commands such as
nomodeset acpi=off noacpi.

My mobo gives me the option to boot the drive I have the disc loaded into with UEFI and AHCI, I've tried both options. No success. At this point I am completely at a loss of what to try next. I am 100% certain there is nothing wrong with the discs. I have the 16.4 on a VM at this moment, and I know I tried 17 on the other disc as well. Both of them were installed from burned discs.

My Specs;
Intel i5 3570K 3.4ghz (cpu)
Asrock Extrem4 Z77 (motherboard)
Nvidia EVGA GTX 780 8gb (gpu physically removed at time of post)
Gskill 1866Mhz 8GB DDR3 (RAM)
Samsung 840 Pro 256gb (OS/Programs SSD)
Samsunsg 850 EVO 512GB (secondary SSD)
WD Caviar Black 1.5 TB (HDD)
ASUS DRW24B1ST
