Windows open awkwardly

Folks,

Running Ubuntu 16:04 with normal Unity desktop.

Haven't knowingly altered anything but all my windows now open fractionally too high and too left meaning I cannot get to the close, minimise or maximise buttons or the drag bar.

I have to use Alt + mouse key to reposition to make them available, no great hardship but is there a way to correct this?

Sounds like a possible video driver problem. What video card are you running? Are you running a driver for it that you installed? If so, what driver and where did you get it from?

No specific drivers installed, just the generic Ubuntu drivers.

Was working fine, is still apart from every window opens so the mouse is unable to grab it to move.
