I am having a problem with getting my pc to boot into usb with Ubuntu 16.04.2 with it starting windows instead no matter which drives are were in the priority list.

My motherboard is a G41D3 with the SMBios version being 2.5.
My current OS is Windows Vista Home Premium (the reason i want to change)

I want to install it onto a partion of my main drive which I have already made to be able to dualboot between windows for gaming and ubuntu for other things that dont run on vista.

Any help would be rather nice Thank you

How are your making that USB bootable? How did you download that ISO? Did you check the entirety of the ISO (md5 checksum)?

What are the exact settings you're using in BIOS? How is your USB being detected by your BIOS?
