Hi, it is my first time installing Ubuntu.

Computer had Windows 7 before i had removed it and installed Ubuntu LTS. It is an obscure brand laptop from around 2009.

When i boot the PC I see black screen and blinking cursor.

Booting from USB, I tried Boot-Repair with the default recommended settings but it didn't helped.
In Bios i have Legacy Mode On and OS set as other(Tried Win 7, Win XP and Legacy mode off as well).

I can't figure out why, I'd appreciate any help. Sorry if this is a beginners mistake.

=================== Final advice in case of suggested repair
Please do not forget to make your BIOS boot on sdb (250GB) disk!

Is your BIOS set to boot to that? You need to check that first.

Thank you for your response.

Yes, boot order used to be USB to DVD to HDD.
I tried putting HDD to top.
Unfortunately it doesn't help. Result is same.
