I just upgraded from Ubuntu 14.04 to 17.04, and installed the gnome-session-fallback.

When I print, I get a popup notification that I am printing, and then another when printing has completed. I would like to disable these popups. I tried searching for others who had this issue, tried dconf-editor (org gnome desktop notifications off), gnome tweak tool, gnome-control-center printer settings.

I have not been able to find a way yet that disables these popups. I didn't have them previous to the upgrade. I thought I recalled disabling it, but that turned out to be when I was running Windows 7, so wasn't relevant.

Another type of popup I'd like to disable is when I copy files from one folder to another. Each folder has a popup saying what I just copied. Entirely useless and annoying, and they stay there until I click on them.
