Any time I try to install anything, I encounter 403 Forbidden errors from http://au.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu (202.158.214.106). It's been like this for about three days now. Sure, I can change mirrors, but this is the closest mirror to me and has worked for a long time. What's going on?

Looks like the site is down: http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/au.archive.ubuntu.com

It wasn't down several hours ago when I checked, but I was getting a 403. They may be having intermittent problems that have persisted for a few days.

While one may have a favorite or fastest repo they would like to use, the main thing is that you can get done what you need to get done. Use another repo for now and keep checking that one.

Where do I report issues with official archive mirrors? (https://askubuntu.com/questions/335609/where-do-i-report-issues-with-official-archive-mirrors)

I reported the trouble for you. I'll let you know if I get anything back from RT.

Cheers for that.

Hello!

If you haven't tried already, try again now.

I got news from rt saying the mirror was having problems but is up now.
