Greetings, I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 and switched from Unity desktop to KDE Plasma a while ago. When I log in, my home directory will open in Dolphin. Recently when I log in ( with Plasma selected as my desktop ), my home directory will open in Nautlius instead. Additionally, when I log out Plasma's desktop will close and then it goes to Unity's desktop before logging out. I don't recall my system doing this until recently ( but it may have been happening the whole time, as I usually just lock my screen instead of logging out ). I'm not sure if the best approach would be to completely remove Unity, I know that the latest builds of Ubuntu don't include Unity anymore.

Any help would be appreciated.
