17.04 not booting after install.

Hello... first post here.

I've installed 17.04 to a new-to-me Toshiba Satellite laptop. Install goes without a error then when I have to reboot to finish the installation I receive the following error...

"Reboot and select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media an selected Boot device and press a key".

Any idea where to look next?

Hello and welcome to the forum, is this a stand alone installation? is it the only OS on this machine. Please post the specs for your machine it will help other trouble shoot your problem

How did you create the installation media USB or DVD?

What program did you use to created your bootable media?

This is a stand alone installation.

Install medium USB, greated using rufus 2.14.

how would I get system specs. I can boot into Ubuntu via a usb where would I look once there? New to unbuntu.

You might have to change the HDD boot order in the BIOS to boot the correct HD, did you make any changes in the BIOS?

Is your system UEFI?
