Ok, I tried the normal Unity desktop version of ubuntu on this tablet, and when I use an external keyboard, no issue, but in actual tablet mode the OnBoard keyboard doesn't activate on it's own you have to continuously , manually activate it. Kind of annoying honestly.

I found the Daily Preinstalled builds, but the full file is only in .tar.gz form, and untarring just creates all the folders and file, no Image .img, or .iso, file in there.

I want to make an installer USB from the .tar.gz, but I have literally no idea how.

Can someone please point me to some good instructions for doing this?

Again this is for installing Ubuntu touch 17.04 on an Intel based X86 tablet. This is not on an Android or other Arm device.
