Running Ubuntu-Gnome, upgraded from 16.10 to 17.04 via tether connection on an HP Envy laptop Dual boot with Win 8.1 on the other boot option.

Overall process of upgrade was smooth, however after final reboot the keyboard is a nightmare...randomly jumping, deleting and making writing or coding nearly impossible now.

I have searched for help on this without success as yet...help appreciated!

I've got exact same problem on HP spectre laptop with dual boot win10. On Ubuntu 16.04 and 16.10 the keyboard and everything was working fine, since the upgrade to 17.04 the keyboard is a nightmare, erratic typing, randomly jumping and deleting, it's not usable. I've made a fresh install of ubuntu 17.04 and problem is the same, also in the live usb 17.04 session it's the same problem, in Unity or Gnome.

Help please, because I don't find any similar issue reported where assistance has been provided... many thanks in advance!
