View Full Version : Ubuntu 16.04 unable to install gcc 6.3 ,latest version

Hello,
vmware is prompting me to install gcc6.2 otherwise vmware will not start. I followed https://gist.github.com/application2000/73fd6f4bf1be6600a2cf9f56315a2d91#file-how-to-install-latest-gcc-on-ubuntu-lts-txt-L25
The error I got is

You linked, (and used I guess), a guide that uses the toolchain ppa. But you've also added & used another ppa for gcc-6.x
Better to use just one ppa for this. I'd remove all the ....york0 packages, then try again from the toolchain ppa only
