usb installation problem

i prepared an lubuntu usb according the instructions,
but when i restart the computer and go to bios
and choose the usb hdd,
my computer doesnt recognize it and opens on windows.
i want to install lubuntu this way and uninstall windows permanently.
im new on linux, pls reply taking this into consideration.
so, any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the forum, I would post the specs for your machine to help trouble shoot your issues and give the information needed

Secondly, I wouldn't get rid of Windows just yet, make sure you understand how Linux works use it for awhile and see if it's something you like

You might have to access the BIOS first and set the USB to boot

If yours is a fairly recent machine, you may want to turn off the Secure Boot setting in your BIOS.
