Hello,

So I got this laptop/tablet it's a Asus Transformer TA100T, this computer is a pain to install the newest but there was a developer that made Ubuntu available for this computer called "Magic USB" well the only Ubuntu he have was Ubuntu 15.04, I was able to upgrade from Ubuntu 15.04 to 15,10. Now I need to upgrade from 15.10 to 16.10, I open the Updater and it shows I can upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS but I know I can't upgrade a non LTS to a LTS (I saw something saying I can't do that).

I tried the Update -d and it was working but it kept freezing my computer.

I need help I don't want to put Windows 8.1 back on here.

Thank You :D

You can always upgrade any release to the next, so you can upgrade 15.10 to 16.04. You can also upgrade one LTS release to the next LTS release, but the upgrade from 15.10 to 16.10 is not available.

I'm getting an Error saying "Can not upgrade, An upgrade from 'xenial' to 'wily' is not supported with this tool." That's using Alt F2 and update -d

15.10 to 16.04 is an EOL upgrade, since 15.10 went end-of-life in July 2016. There is a method to do this explained on:
