When I try to install ubuntu server LTS, the kernel spits out this error:
core perfctr but no constraints; unknown hardware!
then hangs. I am using Ryzen 1700 on a Gigabyte gaming 3 board. The thing is that I built two identical machines and other machine does not have a problem installing ubuntu server so I can only conclude that there is a hardware error of some kind. Does anyone know which component is causing this error so that I could take it back for warranty. Thanks!
UPDATE: Problem solved, one of my ram sticks was loose.
