Hi All,
Need some help please. Newbie. I have Ubuntu 16.10 installed and working perfectly. I was using the startup disk creator to test other versions of Ubuntu on another machine. At 1 point I accidentally didn't have a USB drive inserted and clicked Ok. It installed the startup program for 14.10 on the hard drive of my good system. So now I haven't installed the system yet but whenever I boot it goes directly to the installation program for 14.10. I can still see my data on the drive but would just like to restore my system. How do I remove the installation option from the hard drive?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Carl

Ok, after the panic and a little research, I used: sudo update-grub
Still a newbie.
