My Ubuntu 16.10 all upgraded to most recent version does not boot when on batteries. It hangs right after choosing "Ubuntu" from boot menu. Batteries are full charged.
When power adapter plugged it boots correctly. It is only OS installed.
Any ideas?

When all else fails.......or the first thing to try...................shut down computer. Remove power cord, remove battery. Wait 10 minutes, reinstall battery and try booting up computer on battery power alone.
