In ubuntu studio 14, theres a menu at the bottom that pops up when the courser is brought near it. This is absent in studio 16. How may i recreate this?

Is this the application menu ? Ubuntu Studio uses XFCE and menu and panel applets can be added or removed from the top or bottom panel.
