I am going to buy a linux case badge for my laptop, the only thing is that I don't know how to remove the metal windows one. Help?

It depends on which Windows logo you've got. Is it the bubbly one, or is it the hard flat one?

In either situation, your best bet will likely be to use a razor blade and carefully pry it up until it pops off. Once it's off, you should be able to use some iso-propyl alchohol to clean off the adhesive residue.

Sometimes the logo is "recessed" into the case a little bit, which makes removing it a real pain. In this situation, use just the corner of your razor blade and SUPER carefully pry a corner up. Once you have a corner, the rest should peel up without too much fuss.
