New Laptop for Ubuntu Install

I want to get a new laptop and install Ubuntu. Something inexpensive from Walmart or Best Buy. No gaming or anything heavy.

I read a few months back that some new laptops won't allow Ubuntu to be installed.

What do I need to look for and/or avoid?
