Hello ubuntu forums!

I just set up dual boot (UEFI) for my new Acer Aspire F5-573G-500N and can't get my touch pad (Synaptics) to work in Ubuntu 16.04 AND Windows 10.

If I set it to the basic mode in the BIOS, it works well in Ubuntu, but scrolling and dragging etc. doesn't work in Windows.
If I instead set it to the advanced mode in the BIOS, it doesn't work in Ubuntu at all (well... except for some jumpy/laggy mouse movements), but then in Windows it works flawlessly.

Although it would be possible to change the BIOS settings every time i change the OS, I'd rather not to.
With your help, making the touch pad run in advanced mode in Ubuntu seems the way to go for me, so I'd really appreciate it.
I followed the DebuggingTouchPad instructions (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection) in the wiki to create some debug files:
273946, 273947, 273948, 273949, 273950

Or is there a way to tell the BIOS to choose the settings automatically according to the OS?

Thanks for your help!
