Staff emeritus status

Hello everyone, I was wondering about some of the statuses that some members of this form have. I know we have moderators, but can you please tell me what does ( Staff emeritus ) means in terms of forum member

Is this also considered some form of moderator and do they have any special privileges

No.
It only means that at some point they were staff, but not anymore.

That said, they get first dibs on the leftover doughnuts.
