I am trying to install Ubuntu 16.04 Server x64 on a Compaq CQ1550LA which is an Intel D525 based system, Legacy Boot
I get to the language selection then the option to install . After a few seconds the screen goes blank , DVD , and hard disk activity all stop. After waiting I press the power button and get an immediate shutdown, so it does not seem like anything is happening.
I tried the "nomodeset" option and still no luck.
The BIOS is very basic and has few adjustments.
Anyone have any suggestons?
