Cannot Boot Into Ubuntu

I recently installed Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS onto my HP Pavilion dv6 . Whenever I try to boot into the OS it says: --[ end trace 62858bed1034d0bc ]--
It does not have any problems booting into the live version of ubuntu. Please help with this error. I am new to linux.

Welcome. Check the first answer here (http://askubuntu.com/questions/38780/how-do-i-set-nomodeset-after-ive-already-installed-ubuntu) (with '48' next to it) and see if adding 'nomodeset' helps.

It helps us help you if you can give as much info as you can think of; machine make and model, specs, what you did, what you're doing, any links to things you've tried, what the machine is doing.

So far, you installed 16.04, it boots to the grub menu with the OSs on it, you choose Ubuntu, it crashes with the error message you have posted. Correct? How do you get out of that? Do you then need to power off the machine with the switch and start again?
