ASUS Eee pc 1001p
Xubuntu 16.04 installs perfectly OK
When I try to install Ubuntu 16.10, I get two errors - firstly the "unsafe Swap space" which I correct with swap off, but then I get "Unexpected error while creating volume group - auto partitioning using LVM failed because an error occurred while creating the volume group"
See linked file for output of /var/log/syslog.
