Yes. There is an option to "Erase Disk and Install Ubuntu" which will do exactly that. If you have any personal data on the computer drive you are installing Ubuntu to, that will be erased also. If you have windows 10 installed UEFI (very likely) best do some reading such as the Ubuntu documentation link below. UEFI installs are different than older MBR installs. You might post the manufacturer of the computer as some make it difficult to install anything but windows.

Are you new to Ubuntu and Linux in general? you might want to make sure Linux is your cup of tea before you completely remove Windows from your machine. I recommend test driving Ubuntu first, then if you really like what you see you can move forward from there and install ubuntu

Go buy another hard drive.

Take the Windows 10 hard drive and place it in a static bag.

Install the new hard drive in your computer and install Linux on it and see how it works for you.

If you find Linux doesn't work for you than you still have your Windows 10 hard drive to easily return to.

Just a suggestion.

OP has 87 posts here so don't think they're new to Ubuntu so assume they know what they want to do, and buying a new hard drive probably not on that list. :)

If Windows 10 equates very new hardware you might get better support by using 16.10 or 16.04.2 which will be released in a week.
