Greetings,

My laptop is Asus ROG GL552VW and you can see its specifications here:

http://www.ultrabookreview.com/8975-...2vw-review/#a1 (http://www.ultrabookreview.com/8975-asus-rog-gl552vw-review/#a1)

I have installed Ubuntu 16.10 including the updates, but I cannot open the System Settings. I also tried installing gnome-control-center but I get a segmentation fault when I try to launch it:

$ gnome-control-center
get chip id failed: -1 [13]
param: 4, val: 0
[intel_init_bufmgr:1167] Error initializing buffer manager.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Can someone troubleshoot me please?

How did you install it: a clean install or did you update from an earlier version? And, if from earlier version, which one?

Clean install.
