Hello!

I am having a problem. I've tried searching online but i could not find a solution for this problem.

I am running Ubuntu 16.04LTS

Every time i reboot my computer, or press F5 my desktop icons loose their position. It's very annoying and i can't figure out what the problem is. I am running a multi-monitor setup.

Can someone help me? thanks,

I disconnected all of the monitors and just kept 1 monitor, and same problem! The icons loose position and go back to the main screen all perfectly aligned.

I also tried a different video card, i thought maybe it was the video card since this started happening after i tried installing another video card.

Both video cards worked fine, but the desktop icons still reset after bootup.

I don't know what could be casuing this, when i first installed ubuntu several months ago, the desktop icons were working fine, I don't want to re-install ubuntu but it looks like i might have to : (
