Mate tweak custom panel question

Is it possible to save multiple custom panels using Mate Tweak? The only thought that comes to mind is to save the custom panel, copy username-tweak.panel and user-name-tweak.layout to a backup directory, then do some more tweaking and save the same 2 files to another location. Depending which setup I wanted to use, I would just copy the desired files back into usr/share/mate-panel/layouts.

I'm assuming the answer to my question is "no" since I can't create unique names for the custom tweaks, but does my solution seem feasible / do-able?
