I am moving to new servers over the next 4-6 months, and it is a good time to divest of some of my hosting and admin overhead.
I have a domain http://sourcefreedom.com that I want to offer to good home.
I have had it for several years, and it has always been a good companion.
It has been a project from which I offer my own opensource code, and a fairly extensive list of EOL operating systems and software.
The latter part of the project came about because I have changed career focus from Systems & Network Admin to Security & Compliance.
I am at this point too busy to keep updating the site, but I would rather it continue in some fashion as an opensource project site than just disappear into the binary soup.
Having a seasoned site is valuable for SEO and marketing your project - and getting a seasoned domain without a premium price tacked on is valuable to anyone.
Google 'Wall of death eol' and this site comes up in the first 6 spaces, because I have been running the project to keep up with End-of-Life software for about 4 years. This project was started because my compliance work seemed to entail looking up OSs and software for clients to prove they are obsolete. It was far less trouble to put the info up at sourcefreedom and send the client to the web site than to find the same info over and over again for different clients. To all the systems security folks who have used the site over the years, "You're welcome."

I propose to either package the site (a wordpress instance) up and drop it on a CD or something so you can put it on the web host of your choice. and
transfer the domain to you. I am still interested in the EOL project, and would like to see it continue, but I no longer want to be an army of one working on it. Further, the sourcefreedom.com domain might be much more useful for some other purpose, which I am not clever enough to devise, but which might be your crowning glory.
If you are not interested in the EOL project, I will retain that data and just give you the domain.
