Hi
I have installed ubuntu 17.04, but it is not really ready lots of bugs.
Now I want to install ubuntu 16.10 witch is more stable
How can do this without formating my hard-disk.
I don't want to loose the things already installed.
is is possible to dual boot 2 ubuntu on the same machine ?

thanks

If it's stability you want I suggest you install 16.04, supported till 2021 , not 16.10, which is not only less stable according to many but is also supported only till July 2017.

As long as there is space to add another partition to your disk you can easily dual boot two Linux OSs.
I added a new partition to the end of my Trusty disk back in early November by shrinking my 980GB /home partition and adding a new 20GB partition after it, then choosing "Something Else" at installation and pointing the root partition of Xenial to that new 20GB. I kept the previous /home as the new /home and all is working really good.

Xenial is very stable now and I am really enjoying it, and have not booted to Trusty for a while now though it is good to have it as a standby, just in case.

As you can see at the link below, the alpha release of Ubuntu 17.04 will be next week. The final release will be April 13, 2017 so by using it now you are basically volunteering to use it in a test environment. I'd also agree that 16.04 would be better/stabler and also supported much longer than 16.10 or 17.04 will be.
