Hello, I'm new to ubuntu and I want to experience this OS and Linux. However, when I do some research, some people said that my Dell laptop is not really compatible with Ubuntu( I doubt it). Please share a guide for me to install it. I will highly appreciate it. Thank you.

Dells actually work better than many other systems.
But that is because Dell has a Ubuntu version.
But very new systems may need the newest sputnik.

I'm looking into this https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2301071&page=28&p=13447241#post13447241. My friend told me once that I should install 16.04. I found a few discussion about this and I'm not sure I should try this since I did not find any official guide to install 16.04. I used to mess up once and the OS is corrupted. I had to return the laptop so I'm looking for a safe lane to drive.
