OS Updates not working in Ubuntu Software

So, I went to "System Settings"->"Software & Updates"->"Other software" (so I can make adobe update itself cuz it isnt working for me (please tell me how to do that too)). And now it says Updates (1) in Ubuntu Software app. And when I update the "OS Update", cuz that is what it says I need to update, and just when it needs to finish, it stops (not he app, the download itself (the loading bar just stops)).

Please give me any suggestions for both of the things, please.

Never mind the pretty please, just explain the issue in a clear and coherent manner.

Based on what you have posted, I'd suggest posting the errors from the following two terminal commands after first closing the Software Centre.


sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

It might help to know which operating system/version that you are using ?
