I wonder is it possible to switch to Windows 10 and save current Ubuntu session with all opened apps, data and running services (like Hibernation)? I'd like to save Ubuntu session, boot Windows 10 and then be able to boot Ubuntu again and continue working with saved session.

I'm planning to use laptop with two disks where Ubuntu and Windows will load from different disks, but I'd like to have access to same logical disks from both Ubuntu and Windows. So each disk will have partition for OS and another shared partition for data.

No you have to shutdown windows completely before booting ubuntu and vice versa.

I think you want to run Ubuntu, hibernate the session, turn the computer back on, and boot Windows. Then reboot and select Ubuntu and go back into your session.

You should be able ot do that.
