physical volume for RAID

I downloaded Ubunut 16.04 desktop and trying to install, Why I dont see "physical volume for RAID" in drop down menu on partation step as mentioned here? https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/advanced-installation.html

Because the guide refers to using the server installation edition, not the desktop installation edition.
The desktop installer does not do raid, as far as I know.
