Today, after 26 years of windows, I finally removed it. Did a fresh install of ubuntu 16.10, and never looking back. Have a great day/night people.

Welcome to Linux.
Been an enjoyable adventure for me for the last two years.
No regrets. :)

Thanks, I have been dual booting for 3 years. Got tired of it, beside I don't use windows except to maintain updates.

Yep, that is when I originally realized it was time to dump Windows Vista as well. I said "Adios" to windows a few years back under similar circumstances, then when buying a new laptop a while back had to maintain win 8 for warranty purposes (in case any fixes were needed). As soon as the new laptop warranty ran out Window was erased and I was back to dual booting multiple Linux only installs. Always find "Linux only" a nice feeling here :).

I am very pleased with Ununtu. Only concern is Unity 8, but if need be I will stick with LTS, until 8 matures.

If I could get my Wifi working with Ubuntu I'd dump windows too.

Why don't you start a thread in the Networking & Wireless (https://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=336) sub-forum, posting the results you get from the wireless info script (https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=370108) to see if any of the (Networking & Wireless) forum gurus is able to help you.
