Well, you have to approach this from the bat's point of view. Is in the basement all year long, eager to get out as soon as possible. ;)

Maybe it's a Zapus with wings?!!

Or a vampiric Zapus coming to suck your blood?

That will explain the security warnings I have started to get when I move around this forum.

If you're serious, very doubtful. Report this in Forum Feedback and Help or the 'report forums bugs' thread rather than bringing it in here. Thanks.

And don't forget to feed the bats. :)

why would I not be serious? when I hover over the Ubuntu Forums header I get the following .....

"You're only seeing secure content

We've blocked content sent over insecure connections to help protect your info"

Can you point me to the forum bug reporting tool thanks and I will report it.

Well, perhaps I was wondering because you mentioned nothing about any of this in your first post. Forum Feedback and Help is the place to report the problem.

@halogen2: You are having the same issue as mikeb42? If not, mike posts his own support thread in forum feedback and help (https://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=48) and I encourage him to do so.

PS: Have no idea why you posted what you did where you did.

Back to the bats. It's now a pumpkin! :)

Actually a Jack-o-lantern ;)

Isn't it just a JavaScript or CSS trick? Wouldn't think those would elicit any warning.

The bat is gone, but the Jack-o-lantern is here.

Ah, yea. Right. I'm in Australia so to me, that's one smiling pumpkin! :)

Ya live and learn. Jack-o-lantern.

The security warning was likely caused by the URL used for the bat/ jack-o- lantern being http instead of https but that was changed a few hours ago

Might have to do a refresh to get rid of the security warning. Might be loading an old rendering of the page.

The bat was late to show last year, so I made a request and it was only around for a day or so. It seems to be a fun distraction

Cool witch.

Spooky witch; every time I try to take a screenshot of her she turns back into a normal cursor in the output image.
Someone must have cast an invisibility spell over my gnome-screenshot package .

The bat was all I saw last year.
But it's nice to know that someone else notices little things around here besides me.

I suppose a Turkey will be on rotation.

Ah, yes. I might watch the video of my niece and nephew my parents made several years ago when they appeared in their school's production of "Wizard of OZ." My niece was an awesome Wicked Witch.

Edit: just found her here with cachviewer, the attachment in your last post showed me to look for the site as imgur.com not ubuntuforums. Woohoo !

My mother-in-law usually doesn't like to have her likeness made public.

(Disclaimer: I actually liked my departed mother-in-law. The foregoing was a joke.)
