Hi i'm trying to install ubuntu in my sony vaio svt(has windows 8 at the moment). In the screen that i can make the partition and choose in which hard drive or ssd i want to install(i have one of each), there is nothing, like if i haven't any disk.

This is a photo of that screen:

I try many times and also try with debian and windows 7 to see if was a problem of ubuntu or my pc, and clearly is my laptop the problem.

The weird thing that i can try ubuntu (a live boot).

Someone know how to fix this?

Sorry for my english, not first language

Thx.

Ps: supposing that in a future i can solve this. and i want only ubuntu but leaving the partition where then i can make my pc like given of factory. i install ubuntu in the ssd? and leave the hard drive for data and other things?
