Good Day All!

I am posting this thread because I have recently tried to upgrade my OS: via

apt-get update
apt-get install

I then ran into the issue:

I then tried to clean up stale package data and all ran with success:

apt-get clean
apt-get autoclean
apt-get autoremove

My current build is:

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release: 16.04
Codename: xenial

kernel 4.4.0-38-generic

This is also preventing me I believe to create VMs via VirtualBox. When I try to make a VM I get the following issue:

Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)

The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the kernel module by executing

'/sbin/vboxconfig'

as root.

where: suplibOsInit what: 3 VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED (-1908) - The support driver is not installed. On linux, open returned ENOENT.

Any ideas on why I am getting the error when trying to upgrade?

Thanks!
