Can't upgrade Xubuntu 14.04 to 14.10

Here are my specs:

10-inch netbook, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor and running Windows 7 Starter 32-bit.

14.10 has passed its End Of Life (EOL) and is no longer supported. The files that would be required to update to it have been moved.

I am not sure of the capability of your hardware, but upgrading to 16.04 would be the only upgrade path. However, I generally recommend installing fresh. This would require that you back up your important data and, if you have a separate /home partition, maintaining that.

Would you prefer to go to 16.04?
