Hello,

I've upgraded to 16.10, but now I am unable to disable my touchpad. I usually disable the touchpad by a function key on the keyboard, but this key is no longer recognized.

I have a script to turn off the touchpad, but this is a pain to use. I've tried dconf-editor but this doesn't actually change anything.

How can I get my function key back?

EDIT:

I've re-installed/downgraded Ubuntu 16.04, and now I have my F3 function key back. However, what should I do when the LTS expires? I don't want to mark this thread as 'Solved', I mean, I have my function key back, but I can't use upgrade.
