I'm currently running Gnome 3.18.5 in desktop environment.
How can I upgrade to Gnome 3.20 when 16.10 is released tomorrow ?

Thanks,
Bruce

Try this for one (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/05/install-gnome-3-20-ubuntu-16-04-lts). Do a search for 'install Gnome 3.20 ubuntu 16.04' and you'll find millions of others. Presuming you want to install 3.20 on Ubuntu 16.04 that is. You don't say.

Pays to search before posting. Post back if you have issues, mark as solved if not. Cheers. :)

Or do you want Ubuntu GNOME 16.10?

In that case, this link (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/10/how-to-upgrade-to-ubuntu-16-10) might be what you're looking for.

hehe. Yea, that's one way of doing it. Wouldn't guarantee stability, though ... but maybe that's the problem.

@OP: If you are having issues with 16.04 and that's why you're wanting to do this, suggest you post a thread about the problems you are having with 16.04 and we'll see if we can fix that in preference to using a newer kernel from a different release.

If you're having issues and suspect banging a new kernel in is going to fix them, it generally won't unless you have very new hardware, and not always then either.
