Hello all i have no sound through the internal speakers on my Touchsmart 600-1050 using any ubuntu or linux mint Distro. I have tried many different models in the alsa-base.conf. i do notice that the system reports its a Realtek ALC888 but its actually a ALC888S pins are different on the chip....The headphone and line out have sound when plugged in but there has to be a way to make these speakers work. in windows they work fine so a patch or quark is involved i have tried many different kernels none have changed anything hda-analyzer and hda jack retask have not seemed to helped either.......here is a link to the alsa debug info (http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=e574d98911d85add19257714904d3eed055fc3e4) any more info i would be happy to post thanx in advance.
